Dr Kim Taylor (Education Consultant) has over 25 years of experience in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) working within a child-centred approach with the following qualifications:
B.A.(Psychology), B.Ed. (Primary/Junior) plus Teaching Certificate with specialism in Special Needs Education, M.Ed. In Special Education Needs with a thesis looking at how play can develop social skills with children with profound intellectual and physical disability., Ph.D. thesis looking at how the national curriculum doesn't meet the basic needs of children with emotional and behavioural disorders.
Previous experience with researching into PGCE students and research from Masters and Ph.D. degrees.
Over 15 years experience as a Positive Behaviour Support Trainer for staff working with special needs children.
Extensive experience with severe challenging behaviour and severe autism.
Previous experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Person and previous training in Safer Recruitment and committed to the guidelines set out within Keeping Children Safe in Education 2015.
